Layout bug in Acquia Slate
I have a problem with the layout of the front page and certain of the system pages. A big unwelcome white square appears in the middle of the page, just after the header and before the rest of the content. This big unwelcome white square appears on most but not all pages, and it seems inexplicable. Attached are some screen shots -- two of them display the problem, and the third shows the page as it should appear with no big unwelcome white square. I have spent many hours looking for the cause of this problem, and I am now at the end of my rope. Any help would be appreciated!

Add image to header region.
Good day,
I have two questions, dont think its really hard for developers but kinda confusing for the beginner. I have Drupal 6.13.
In Acquia Slate I would like to add image to the header region(i dont have a slogan or search) and have it to be displayed on all pages except front page. I already have the front page I want but would like to see additional image on header when I click any of my primary links.
Could you please advise how I separate whats displayed on front page and whats on other pages.
Thank You.
Web company site using Slate theme
Had been looking for a Drupal theme for a while that would suit our company website. I had read good reviews on the Slate and Marina themes and discovered the look of the Slate theme already resembled our site to some degree.
I downloaded the theme and converted our current HTML site to a fully functioning Drupal site in about 2 days - this would not have been possible without Slate.
Overall I love the Slate theme as it has so much functionality built in out of the box. I really liked the many pre-built regions and the ability to override CSS styles by using a separate style sheet meaning future theme upgrades should be easy. Lots of small features also make this theme feel very robust and professional such as the rounded buttons which work well across most modern browsers. Everything just looks good and feels professional.
Please take a look at the finished site and provide me with some feedback / suggestions.
Many thanks
Jonathan
Urban Vector
Another post just to show some appreciation for the Acquia Slate theme. I've been building sites using Drupal for almost two years now and wanted to find a decent theme for my own portfolio site that I could create in-between work and look great.
Acquia Slate is awesome. It's fully customisable, utilises blocks in a flexible way and looks clean and professional so I'm really pleased.
Take a look and feel free to leave any opinions or suggestions: http://www.urbanvector.net
Thanks for a great theme, Tom.
Just wanted to say that I'm very happy with the Slate theme
Hi, just wanted to say I'm very happy with the Slate theme. Just built my very first Drupal site with it.
If you want to look, it's here: www.vivamassage.se
This is my very first try at building something with Drupal, so probably the site will change a bit when I
get the hang of it... this is sort of an alpha release... just saw that I cut the bottom off of the white board
at the top because I wanted the front page to fit on a small screen. Will have to replace that board...
But anyway, I'm happy that I got the site up and running and I think the theme is great. ;)

Acquia Slate Front Preface Sidebar & Left Navigation Menu: Help with a desired change?
Edited
I'm building my first Drupal website (http://www.district-a-development.com/) with Acquia Slate for a local base artist community group. Two changes I'd like to implement involve 1. front preface sidebar along with the banner image on which the mission statement is placed and 2. the left navigation menu.
Need help with header image
Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me with my problem. I think it may be simple, yet I just don't have the knowledge or experience to accomplish it. Basically I have an image I'm using for the front page sidebar that I like, and it looks good with the standard header image. Before I started using it however, I used my own header image which I really liked. I'd keep on using it but it doesn't look good with the front page image.
What I'd like to do is use MY header image on every other page of the site except the front page. Can someone please help me accomplish this? Thanks
Acquia Slate not-front block headers: help with a desired change?
Hi, all!
I've been working with Acquia Slate for a little while now (I just finished mildly hacking it for a friend's website at http://www.siphiwe.com) and am looking to do so again for a site of my own (the site at YoungWizards.com is due for an updating and upgrade).
One change I'd like to implement involves the block headers. I've just installed the Signwriter module on my pre-production installation, and it works perfectly well with the node headers in Slate. But it breaks when it hits the block headers, as described here. As a result, I'd like to get rid of the whole business that splits the h2 tag so that Signwriter can't parse it correctly.
Random background in Acquia Slate
Hello! I am the proud user of Acquia slate and was wondering if I could somehow rotate the background of the front page on a refresh. Would I use a PHP script with a bunch of images in a directory, or can I use gallery2, which I've already set up.
The web addresses are here:
Drupal site: http://www.claudebing.com
Gallery site: http://gallery.claudebing.com
The album "Backgrounds (Rotating)" is the album of images I want to use on the front page. They're already all the same size and dimensions. Any hints?
