It seems there is bug in groups.drupal.org: a duplicate mission statement at the bottom of the page when the groups don't use the default image for the mission (that is, an alternative image, or no image).

On the other hand, there is not problem in the groups using the default image, like for example http://groups.drupal.org/groups-drupal-org .

Hi all- the Google Summer of Code mentors group (http://groups.drupal.org/soc-2009-mentors) is set to "moderated" for the group type, however, when people who aren't members visit the page they don't receive an option of joining (instead they get a 404 access denied error). Am I missing something? Is it not possible to have a g.d.o group both open to applications to join and keep it private? If not I'll simply put up a post on the soc group and ask people to e-mail me to join.

Have noticed that email notifications (particularly for events) do not put the links into the emails in the same way they used to and are simply omitted. Is there some way we can change this? I liked the way it provided footnote links, but alternatively if html emails were sent out then they could also be done inline.

I have also noticed (and this may be just how it is in my gmail account) but line breaks inside a message are not always included, which sometimes makes the emails look messy when a line break has been used to format/clarify the text.

This might be a bug with signup itself, but I haven't seen such an issue on any of my own sites running Signup.

I'd also like to know the process of how I could gain more access to do this myself?

I was wondering how gdo is setup and if it's technically feasible to share taxonomy between "some" groups? I think geographic groups in particular would benefit from this.

When adding content to a panel while maintaining a page in gdo, one of the options for content is a Drupalcon Banner. This can be found under the heading "Contributed Modules."

The content is a banner for Szeged 2008. I think it should be changed to Drupalcon DC 2009.

EDIT: Also, just noticed the Create Content / Node Add creates a small block that allows a Proposal creation in ANY group. I think this is an access control issue.

This issue has been fixed for me once (by webchick), but as soon as I edited the node, it reverted to the old behavior, and is once again locked on private. The problem is that the checkbox to make the post public is disabled at the html level. Even if I set it to checked using the web developer add on, it doesn't change.

I'm not sure this is related to merlinofchaos' post, but I've just been surfing around and become unsubscribed from two of my four groups. The one I'm missing the most is drupal-dojo. I can't remember what the other one was.

As of now, the only two groups that are showing are CCK and Maintenance. FYI.
