Hi All,

I wasn't sure if this post belongs in the jobs section or not but since I am not a business and this is not a full-time or part-time job I decided to post in the discussion forum.

Currently, I am a Drupal beginner, learning the framework and building my site as I go. I've been to a couple of Boston Drupal meet ups, met some great people and have learned much. Lullabot videos, Lynda.com tutorials and the O'Reilly book, Using Drupal, are my main sources for learning. I have intermediate/advanced CSS and HTML experience but little PHP experience.

I am looking to develop our new site and after attending DrupalCamp 2009 in Irvine, i believe Drupal can do everything i'm looking for! I would like to look into hiring a consultant to:
1. go over my plan to make sure i'm on the right track with Drupal
2. once 1 is established, have someone to help with module suggestions for specific projects, support, troubleshooting and some tutoring. Ability to customize modules if needed.

I would like someone in the Orange County area for possible in person meetings, but not required. Paid by the hour.

I am looking for a tutor to learn Drupal from the ground up.

I live in midtown manhttan - and hoping to spend a few hours a week with someone who can help me out.

I have ZERO experience, but am somewhat intelligent. :D

We are looking for someone to help us with a localization project for our corporate website. We understand Drupal 6 fairly well but need some help understanding the best approach for translating the site.

Please contact me if you are able to spend a couple of hours with us in the next week or two. In person would be preferable but web meeting would work too.

First of all, somehow this line got stuck in my head when I thought about starting a thread about tutoring here - "I'm not completely incompetent!" LOL... I think that was from Get Smart? Gotta love Steve Carell.

Anyway, yes, tutor... I had spoken about my "Environmentally Conscious Food Directory" idea, I've actually tried to learn Drupal and in the end, decided to hire some professional help to create the site so I could 1) get it up & running ASAP and 2) learn from his finished product so I could get a jump start... making that leap from beginner to intermediate level.

NJ-based Interactive Agency seeks Drupal instructor for one half-day training session with our client. Client has basic knowledge of Drupal but would like additional training on:

-Bringing in modules
-Using admin tool
-Making daily updates/changes to menu designs and style sheets
-Other helpful "short-cuts"

Nach dem Treffen von zwei Tagen bei Barcelona - oder bei Eurem nächsten Treffen in Zürich am 7.Mai (6., 7. bzw. 8.5.2008) - möchte ich über CVS mein Drupal auf dem Localhost aktuell halten können und eine Multisite-Installation haben, wo mein aktueller Code mit eingebunden ist. Des weiteren möchte ich eine IDE bzw. die notwendigen Tools beherrschen, mit denen ich dann professionell Arbeiten kann (Variablen im Code finden, diffen, patchen, debuggen). Ich will auch wissen, wie ich meine produktive Site und Localhost aktualisiere und sicher betreibe und vor allem möchte ich die 10 Wege in den Drupal Himmel umsetzen können: http://drupal.org/node/77487

Ich verwende zu Zeit WindowsXP mit Xampp und TortoiseSVN, wenn notwendig können wir auch alles auf Ubuntu einrichten.

Ich bin der ideale Lückenfüller zwischen Euren großen Aufträgen

Wenn Interesse besteht kann derjenige dann auch bei weiteren Projekten - sehr flexible - definierte kleine Arbeitspakete übernehmen. Diese Projekte werden dann über http://www.codespaces.com abgewickelt.

Ich freue mich auf eine flexible und trotzdem lange Zusammenarbeit.
