Hey everyone!

I was inspired to organise a social event for next month, and this is what I came up with:

I am thinking around Saturday 5th of December, before people start going on holidays and so on. We can meet at the bowling alley at the top of Melbourne Central, next to the Lion and also near the Hoyts ticket office. We'll get some pizzas there while we play, say, 2 games each, and then we can go the Lion for a few beers afterwards.

For simplicity's sake, we didn't deviate much from the stock Zen layout. Some resizing, styling, and a color scheme were all that were needed to make a decent looking and easy to develop site.

Also uses a custom (cck, views) content type for homebrew beer recipes. Much more to come on the site but so far, I'm pleased with D6+Zen as an easy starting place.

Are there any Boise "beer geeks" that are also Drupal "guru's"? By beer geek, I mean someone passionate about craft/artisan beer.

I am here in Barcelona for a few days for the W3C workshop on the future of social networking and would love to meet some local Drupalers.

In the parisian/drupal tradition the foreigner gets to choose the date ... but the locals get to choose the place with the interesting alcohols.. :)

A couple Drupal folks from out side of France are converging on Paris and we would love to have some beer and talk Drupal with the Paris Drupal contingent again if anyone is interested. I am looking to the Paris community to pick a day (8th – the 11th) and a bar (somewhere in St. Michaels)?

I am over here in Paris now and will be joined by Alex Barth and Young Hahn, both from Development Seed, who are coming over here at the end of the week. Joeri Poesen another Drupaler from Brussels will also be here. That makes 4 of us :). Who else is in?

Sorry for the radio silence everyone. I kept hoping that I would find a cool new place to host the meetups. Ted, Justin, and I were chatting and figured it would be great to just get together, drink some beers, and share what we are all working on in a less formal setting. So for this time, there will be no presentation but we'll keep looking for a new venue.

Kris and I are hopping across the strait to Victoria for some meetings, and were wondering if some folks want to join us tonight (Thursday, July 19th) for a pint. We'll be at Smith's Pub from 7:30pm onwards or so.

Totally casual, just talking about life, the universe, and Internets.
