From WAMP to web server

Sorry I couldn't join everyone tonight for the Madison group.

I'm building a site in Drupal and started on my local computer with WAMP Server. Now I need to move things to a real web server, and I don't want to start over from scratch.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this? I've got the Using Drupal book, but didn't find anything in there about it.

Thanks,

Putting A PostgreSql Powered Drupal 6.x Site Online ??

I tried to run Drupal 6 on PostgreSQL 8.3 instead of MySQL, and I must say I think it was better (no more strange MySQL errors), but now I am having problems migrating the database to the live site (PostgreSQL 7.x). I have tried using pg_dump but the SQL generated does not run on my live phpPgAdmin without errors (complaining about syntax errors near "OWNER") .

Here is what I did at the command line :
pg_dump -U postgres -s -O mydbname > mydbname.sql

Subsequent to the initial conversion, our goal is to further add functionality that will assist us to run and manage our competitions, events and members.

PHP script for the migration of content from Drupal 5.x to 6.x

Ok. Drupal 6 is probably the best thing since bread came sliced. Views 2, the new and improved CCK, and the updater—it’s like updating your anti virus—has made life so much easier. Updating Web application frameworks has never been easier.

This updater alone is incentive enough to upgrade your Drupal 4.x and 5.x installations to Drupal 6.x. Unfortunate it is then that this moat to be crossed is filled with non-upgraded module crocodiles and inexplicable PHP error sharks.

There are two approaches to converting a Drupal 5.x site to 6.x:

Help With Local church Conversion to Drupal

Heya gang!

So Calvaryaustin.org is going to be moving off of CMS made easy. not including their fron page the entire site is in flash and iframes.
It was really done poorly. I have been tasked with migrating to Drupal! I am so new to drupal and really could use some help.

For instance the front page is pade up of a header main body and three unique graphics that change out.

Not sure how I would template this correctly in drupal.
If you have a suggestion take a look at www.calvaryaustin.org and give me some advice.
