Site design should incorporate plenty of room for advertising space (banners, text ads, etc). We wish to implement site in three phases. Our website will consist of four primary areas: Information, Magazine, Community and Members Only.

Kalkion A Science Fiction Site Running on Drupal

Hi!

I am glad to share with you all that we recently launched a science fiction site http://kalkion.com which runs fully on GLAMP server and is powered by Drupal. I trust this is the first science fiction site running on powerful drupal. We tested Joomla, Wordpress and many more, only Drupal came out as winner. Thanks Drupal for enabling us in achieving our dream and goal.

Looking for a web designer to set up 7-8 pages in .psd format for a drupal site. Want a magazine like feel to the layout, but would be rather simple to set up. Programmer already lined up, so simply a design only job.

Going for the look of the following sites:

www.fuel.tv
www.grindtv.com
www.onboardsnowboard.com
www.skateboardermag.com
www.surfermag.com

Keeping Blocks in Synch

Hey folks,

I've worked on a number of Drupal sites where we needed to keep multiple sites in synch, and Drupal has been a challenge to keep that way because so many options are changed through the UI - this tends to show its weakness when we want to keep the settings across all sites (don't even mention content). Moving content types and views is easy with the import/export tools, but blocks are another story. The visibility rules, Roles, and input formats all require your time and attention to detail - time you could be spending working on other features.

Online Youth Magazine: How To?

I and a friend are currently mapping out the plans for an online youth magazine targeting youth with disabilities. We've decided that Drupal is the best platform to produce the online magazine, but with so many options available to us with the modules that are available we aren't sure where to start.

I would be interested in any tips people have about setting up an online magazine/newsletter and in running the community side (e.g. blogs, forums, etc). Also, since our target age range is 16-25 I would like to hear thoughts on protecting the privacy of our members who are minors.

Interested in Hearing Experiences - Especially for Managing Subscriptions

Hi Folks,
I'm just about to start using drupal for our magazine website, and want to know if we might also be able to transition to CiviCRM for subscription management.
Is anyone using it this way - or for someting similar?
What are you using it for, and how well is it working for you?
In Peace,
Sam
