Modules
NETBibleTagger now has a Drupal module
Bible.org has made a module to easily add the NETBibleTagger (http://labs.bible.org/NETBibleTagger) javascript to the footer of each page on a drupal site. And, it allows you to customize the popup behaviour from the Site Config menu. It is currently being used on bible.org and numerous other ministry sites.
You can find the page on the module here: http://labs.bible.org/blog/netbibletagger_drupal_module
Ubercart for Donations / Contribution Usage
So, I made it to the last few minutes of the Churches and Ubercart BoF at Drupalcon DC and may not have the full picture on what was discussed. As such, I'm going to use this thread to just spec. out what I see as the desired solution for enabling church websites (and other non-profit organizations) to take donations online. It seemed like the folks in the BoF were willing to get behind a proposal, fund it, and start implementing it on their various sites.
Event Registration Specifications: What are your church's registration requirements?
I've created a wiki for the specifications: http://groups.drupal.org/node/20933
Let's keep the discussion going here.I'm trying to get some feed back from the community so that we can develop a solid event registration system for churches. What are your event registration needs? Below is a brain dump of specifications that I have come up with. Comments? Suggestions? Other requirements? Do you want to highlight the most important/least important things from the list for your church?
ParaChat gets Drupal'ized
For several years now, our organization has used ParaChat to hold online group meetings. As we Drupal'ize, ParaChat was a "must keep" item.
Well, I just found out about this...
Drupal ParaChat Module

Woo hoo!!! Best of both worlds!!
Thought I would get a heads up to this group. Perhaps this info will help others.
SMS
Rob_Feature just tweeted about using SMS with Drupal, and yes, Rob, e-mail is the obvious answer. I don't know why I didn't think of that before!
OK, I don't know a lot about SMS, but am I correct that it's basically just email sent using a specific protocol on the provider's end? I know I can send what I believe is an SMS message to a phone if I know the email address for that account, which is usually something like the phone # @ the mobile provider's domain or some subdomain.
Church Project Management
I've recently come across the storm module. I'm exploring the ability to build a work group collaboration tool around this module along with the use of a variety of other tools. In a non-church effort, I've been researching all sorts of collaboration and project managment web services such as Basecamp, CentralDesktop, ACE, Sharepoint and some more. They've all had their issues in one area or another.
The flexibility of Drupal combined with storm may be able to bring us closer than any other options.
Trying to come up with a private Journal module
Greetings-
We have a need to come up with a Journal module for Drupal 5.x. I thought to start with Blog from the Drupal Core and adjust that to come up with Journal.
The trouble comes that Blog is very public, whereas Journal needs to be private on a per user basis, with possibly admin oversight. (I envision a check box on the "Access control" to enable this "root capabilities" mode.)
I keep trying suggestions, and always it seems when the suggestions do not work, then the last resort suggestion of installing one of the Access Control modules (TAC or TAC Lite) comes up.
Working on Bible Reading Plan module
I started working on a Bible Reading Plan module several months ago. It's one of my first Drupal module projects and I've gotten pretty far into the development but then I got side-tracked. I decided to start working on it again and would like to get some feed back from the Drupal community.
Short description of module:

Module for showing services (time, pastor, comment?)
There are some postings about modules especially for churches. But none of them are referring to modules which can handle services. Are they existing?
Maybe someone can use CCK etc for this. But is this the quickest / best way? Or are there other modules to give visitors an overview of the services that are coming.
If someone has a site with an example, please put it in the comments!
Image handling for church websites / non-technical users
Does anyone have any opinion on the best way to handle image uploads / display for the non-technical users who are the regular maintainers of a church website? One of the big advantages of using Drupal at our church (http://www.stthomasrichmond.org) is that the end users can maintain and add the new content. However, I've always thought that the image handling in Drupal was sub-par and our final decision was somewhat of a compromise.
To me, the choices came down to IMCE and/or the img_assist module. Here is what I think are the pro's and con's of each:
