Many are still recovering from the sold-out and jam-packed weekend that was DrupalCamp Dallas 2009. Over 100 developers, users, and business owners curious about the Drupal open source platform gathered in Dallas the first weekend of August for two days of Drupal! Digett has an immediate opening for a Senior Web Application Engineer/Developer to help us deliver innovative and effective web marketing solutions to clients. This is a full-time position. We have a beta website that is built on top of Drupal. We have a long list of items, now that we are coming out of Beta, that we will desire programming help with, including search speed, can Drupal support this business and scale, making forums more blog-like, and search engine optimization. We are interested in someone who can "tag along" with us and be our IT person on the fly for now, leading to permanent fulltime "the website dude or dudette" position in this startup longterm.

Hey, everybody! My name is Adam McKinley, and I work for Advanced Automation, Inc. We're a company, located in Lindale, TX, looking for some bright Drupal developers (preferably in the nearby area) who would be able to help us polish-up and finalize some of our current projects.

April 14 and 21-22, two non-profits, The League of Technical Voters and Knowbility.org, will host Designathon/Codeathon 2.0 in Austin, Texas. This is the second in a series of volunteer events based to help build usable, accessible open source web tools for non-profits. Development will not be restricted to any particular platform or language, but the previous codeathon was based entirely on Drupal and we are hoping to have a strong Drupal contingent at this one as well.

Nick Lewis and I were talking in #drupal and came to an agreement that we should revive the Austin Drupal meetup idea. We'll be meeting on Wednesday, January 10th at 7pm at Gingerman (downtown on 4th street). They have free wireless internet so bring your laptop if you like.

Hopefully by that time there might even be a Drupal 5.0 release! Also I believe there is another League of Technical Voters Codeathon planned for February 3rd (only 24 hours this time).
