Are You Going to Portland This Weekend?
I'm taking the train on Friday (Oct. 9) and returning early Sunday (Oct. 11) for Portland's DrupalCamp.
Is anybody else in Seattle going?
Maybe I'll see you on the train?
Let's try to coordinate.
DrupalCamp PDX in 2010
Orchestra wants to bring DrupalCamp to Portland, OR in 2010!
We're willing to sponsor and contribute however we can. If anyone has any suggestions, we're ready.
Orchestra is busy creating an integration to Drupal from SAP Business One, a small business ERP system used by over 20,000 companies worldwide. Like Drupal, SAP Business One is a core platform that is extensible and scalable and made better by the modules and Add-Ons from the community. We've always thought they'd be a good fit and now we have brought this idea to fruition.
Allow voting on a panel pane?
I have panel pages that contain panes of RSS feed items. I'd like to enable user voting for a feed pane. I haven't found a way to do this with fivestar or the votingapi. Is there a way to do this without a lot of programming modification to either the panels or feed aggregator modules?
Thank you.
If you want to learn more about the Open Media Project...
Pete P-O presented on the Open Media toolset during the last meet-up, and we've finally settled on a date for a meet-and-greet for anyone who wants to learn more about the project or get involved. The Open Media Project partners and raSANTIAGO are hosting the social at 3:30 p.m.
DrupalCamp 2009... maybe 2010
So, as many of you know, we had a plan for an August DrupalCamp at CubeSpace. CubeSpace was an ideal setting, in terms of locality, parking, space, flexibility, catering and more. Sadly, CubeSpace is no more, having recently gone out of business. They will really be missed by the Portland open source community. It also means out plans are totally scuppered.
Zen theme: Homebrew Exchange, home beer and wine brewing
For simplicity's sake, we didn't deviate much from the stock Zen layout. Some resizing, styling, and a color scheme were all that were needed to make a decent looking and easy to develop site.
Also uses a custom (cck, views) content type for homebrew beer recipes. Much more to come on the site but so far, I'm pleased with D6+Zen as an easy starting place.
Thanks Zen Contributors!
Drupal Security Module Packages
Finally after several weeks of preparation the Drupal Security Module Packages are available.
About the Security Package:
Drupal Developer | Portland Dev Team
We are a small and agile PHP development team. We have several Drupal projects coming up and would love some help, ideally from someone looking to join a team for ongoing work. We are looking for a contractor who can demonstrate comfort developing highly customized D6 sites and a very good understanding of the HTML/CSS/JS stack.
Only want to hear from candidates in the Portland metro area who can meet with the team in our SE Portland office regularly.
Emergency IT (including Drupal) Consultant | Local Oregon company
Sorry if this job posting is in the wrong location or not quite Drupal-ish enough, but this community often has very qualified talent in what we need. Specifically, we are a local company in need of emergency server consulting while I am on vacation December 23-January 15. Our system does have Drupal running, though it's not yet 'mission critical', but I'm looking for people that know linux (samba), exchange server 2007, windows server 2003, and ideally but optionally Novell Netware. Please provide your resume and references.
Local drupal wiz | NW Kids
Hello,
I need help reorganizing the content layout of my website. Looking for someone good working knowledge of the following modules on a 5.7 installation: Views, Panels 2, Aggregator, and possibly Contemplate and Gmaps. From what I can tell, the Gmaps module isn't as good on 5.x as it was on 4.x, but please advise.
I prefer someone who is local to Portland and need someone who is available immediately.
