Best practices for YouTube API integration
I am looking for some best practices advice. I am building a module that processes machine tags. I am integrating it in with FeedAPI and FeedAPI Mapper. My two primary feeds I want to get machine tags from are Flickr and YouTube. Unfortunately for both services I have not found a way to get well formatted tags via their RSS feed. So I am resorting to getting the media id from the feed then using an API call to get the machine tags.
Clickable Agendas
I am just wondering if there is any module development going on for clickable agendas (also referred to as chapters and cue points) for video out there...I (along with help from others) have working code that allows for chapter-based clicking through javascript in quicktime and flash, and it also works when pulling in a video from youtube. I would like to see this code integrated (as it's in demand by many PEG stations out there), but it's currently quite a mess and needs to be cleaned up into a functional module.
Private video syndication
I'm quite interested in building a Drupal site that could aggregate video from a channel on a given 3rd party site such as youtube, vimeo, blip.tv, etc. and display it on the site. I'm sure that there is a module to do this. My difficulty, however, lies with the fact that the site and all content on the site will be password-protected, and this includes any videos on it.
OpenPackage YouTube syndication
OpenPackage Media has just released a new module called OpenPackage YouTube syndication.
This module allows video that is published using OpenPackage Video to be automatically syndicated to the YouTube 'branded garden'.
YouTube is termed a 'branded garden' because it is not possible to view YouTube content without being exposed to the YouTube brand. The term is derived from 'walled garden'.

Options re - video - how to
Hope someone can help.
If I want to store video files at my site, what underlying programs do I need to ultimately let users watch the videos. Following on from that, how within Drupal would this be achieved.
I'm helping my brother out with this one but in the past for my sites I've always just linked to YouTube and let YouTube handle the process. My brother has a 100 mb video file and the last time I checked that's too big for YouTube.

Embedding youtube in a blog post?
I'm trying to embed a great new video concerning 21st century education on my blog on my drupal site. I did some research and found someone saying if you disable rich text format and allow the , , and tags in filtered html, it should work.
But it's not. Can this only be done via a particular module? I'm using Drupal 5.7.
Thanks in advance.
Drupal's integration with new Youtube API to have a video portal profile
[ Abstract ]
Integrate Google's new Youtube API with Drupal
Moved to official ideas list at http://drupal.org/node/237646
Google announced that they will open up Youtube's API . This means sites can have the ability to upload video transparently. The API is here.
Sites can have a chromeless player (non Youtube branded) too.

EDIT 2:
While I await good counsel here re. the best way to manage the upload and download of video in Drupal I think that I can hard-code HTML to link to videos posted on GodTube the same as we handle a news article:
