Hi, all - I was wondering if anybody was interested in something like a user group meeting. You know - pizza, presentations, witty banter, whining, high-fiving... I'm located in Buffalo, and I understand that this group is intended to meet in Rochester exclusively, but I'm up for the drive if there's interest. Anybody else?

[And if there's anybody floating around in Buffalo, please drop me a message sometime and maybe we can organize something local to us!]

What would you like to see happen for a 'first' step? Some additional postings/discussions here on the group? A live chat of some kind? An actual in-person meeting? If so, would it just be to get to know each other or perhaps some kind of show-and-tell? What do you think we should do?

This isn't an actually an event, but I've done some research into meeting in Orange County briefly. Sadly (gladly?) I don't live there anymore so I can't help you organize this, but I thought I would share the possible meeting places I found. There's always the option for something such as Panera bread as a restaurant that has decent food, and wifi, with several location throughout Orange County.

We are doing a lot in the way of meetings, conferences and webinars on the topic of sustainability, in particular green building. If any developers want to work with us on implementing a possible meeting module, we certain can provide some in field opportunity to work through the ideal solution. Perhaps there are other end-users who may find our needs similar and can join in creating a shared budget to offer some talented developers to really concentrate on a solid solution.

At last night's meeting (where we'd filled up every seat in our small reserved room at the Library Coffeehouse) we discussed the need to decide upon a set meeting time and a larger venue.

Location requirements include

• Wireless Internet
• A reservable, preferably private space where we could fit more people (say 20, to leave room for growth)

Not required, but desired

• refreshments a plus

We discussed possible locations. Chris, aka stompeers, will look into possible locations in Eagle (a fairly central location) and report back.
