Taxonomy vs. Menu
I'm working on a site: http://www.articleinsider.com.
It looks like the person who originally set up the site chose to use article Taxonomy rather than Menus to organize the site, which contains 50,000+ articles.
Here are the issues for discussion:
1) What are the benefits of a taxonomy organization over a menu organization?
2) It seems that on some category level pages, there are articles (which rotate as you refresh the page) - while on other category level pages, there are simply links to articles or subcategory pages.
menu, breadcrumbs, links, page and node template... how?
Module for assigning multiple nodes menu link titles and parent relationship in menu
Hi friends,
i am stuck! i have 600 nodes that i imported from a spreadsheet using node import and now i want to assign them menu link titles and the parent item without having to edit each individual node. is there a module to do this?
I have looked into Views Bulk Operations (where it would be awesome to be able to do this but i couldnt figure out how...) and node hiearchy but neither really do what i am exactly trying to do.
thanks for any assistance!

filter taxonomy term in meny to show only nodes with term from other vocabulary
Hello,
I've been searching in the hope that there is an answer but didn't find anything, so apologies if I turn out to duplicate an existing thread.
I am building a site with several vocabularies. I use Taxonomy Menu to turn some of them into a menu. What I want is this: if a user clicks a term (from vocab A) in the menu he/she should get a page with only those nodes that match vocab B. And I need to style that in a certain way to.
Example:
- vocab A has terms: archives, libraries, courses
- vocab B has terms for countries: Britain, Germany, Belgium
Accessing Menu within a View - is it possible?
Looking to create a view that displays all Nodes not assigned to a Menu.
Wondering if this is possible, and if not how it could be achieved in a "Viewsy" kinda way ;-).
primary menu on RTL acquia_marina theme
when i add a page under a page that is in the primary menu,
in RTL mode the page add a big scroller to the side
Menu Item Effects
I have created Menu Items in Primary Link menu. Added a few child items. I also tried creating the same hierarchy in Secondary Link menu. Though I was able to see main menu items on the page, none of the combinations gave me drop down list on mouse hover. However, while keeping the menu items expanded, did show all the items.
Please help achieving menu effects.
Thanks in advance.
Getting a better menu interface into core
There is a discussion at http://groups.drupal.org/node/19171 regarding revamping the administrative menu. It seems to me that the issue of the improving the menu INTERFACE is different than the issue of STRUCTURE. Here, I'd like to see if we can gather the discussion of practical alternative menu interfaces for core. As I mentioned in the aforementioned thread, please let me know if I'm duplicating efforts here.
one menu translated in multiple languages
Hi,
The translation of content and textual strings has much improved in Drupal 6.
However one problem that keeps popping up for most of our clients, is the translation of menus.
Most of the solutions regarding translatable menus involve having multiple menus / blocks (one per language) set up, and show them conditionally based on the current language.
However for most of our clients that's not an ideal solution. For them having to add an item to the menu multiple times is counter-intuitive.
Menu Settings for Content Types
I developed a small module (Drupal 6) that allow to Set the Menu Settings with certain Menus for content editing (Node Edit Form) by Content Type (in Node Type Form).
utility
example1 : i want that the menu-settings just show up on content-type "page" and not on other content-types. so that users wont be confused to have these settings where they dont make sense.
example2 : for the "Images" content Type I want to have only "Images" Menu availbles for "images" content.
