Introduction

My name is Tea; I work at King Features as Associate Comics Editor and also intermittently post webcomics on my site at http://www.antagonia.net

I don't get what 'Workflow' is about. As a subject I mean. I know that sometimes a user posts content that needs approval, and so in this sense there's a flow of work, as the user posts, the administrator approves, etc. And my brother works in a company that use Lotus Notes to create their own email-based applications. Ones to do with Workflow. Example: employee fills out holiday application form & sends it to his line manager, who responds to it & sends it to various people, etc. Stuff like that.

I just wanted to introduce myself to the rest of the members here. I'm from Minnesota and my fiance is now a grad student at Iowa State. I'm an independent software consultant and unfortunately have no contacts in Ames. I'm interested in networking and finding gigs near Ames.

I've worked on two Dupal projects, but the majority of my work has been Java and .Net based. I had this group recommended as a good place to meet developers in central Iowa. Unless I pick up a client in Minnesota first, I plan to be at the meeting on the 26th. I look forward to meeting people then.

At the last DrupalCamp in the spring with the help of a few others, I did an intro to Drupal session, which people really seemed to value, and I'd love to do this again.

One change that's been suggested is to do a separate session first, probably for an hour or 1 1/2 hrs, to help people set up a development environment on their own laptop using Xampp for Windows or MAMP for Macs. This took a long time last time round, and some people already had it, or didn't want to do it - they were happy just watching.

Hello all, my name is Brandon Morrison, and I'm a fairly new resident (6 months) to Indiana. I've recently started TFnS Web Design, a design boutique that specializes in small to mid-size web sites for small businesses and artistic types.

How many of you are in the northern side of the state? I've noticed that the meetings tended to be Indianapolis, which isn't all that feasible for those of us in Michiana to attend on a regular basis. Would there be any interest in having a get together in South Bend sometime?

I saw this group and was very happy as I always thought that Its not easy to find drupal developers from India, Saw few interesting profiles in soc-2008, So lets introduce ourselves here and see if we can form a group of Indian drupal developers. It will be great if we can build this group and meet in real like in 6 months or so and have a network. I don't know what I am aiming for here, I just get jealous when I can't attend BAD camp meetings or drupalcon, so yeh I would want something to happen in India. Alright enough with grudges and regrets, Lets get to business ..

Hey people. I'm currently working on a project where the client wants to be able to create a whole new drupal site from within drupal and not have to do any tedious setting up / configuration (ah, non-technical people...), so I found this group and figured it'd be a good place to go for advice as needed. :)
