One Idea for the next group meeting would be to cover Faceted Search

http://drupal.org/project/faceted_search
This module makes some really cool options for laying out search results.

It is very easy to use and can tie into views.

You can see some samples at
http://www.ctconservation.org/
Just enter in a search on the top right search box and see the extra blocks appear on the left.
One example would be the word 'conservation'

Attached is a quick screen shot of it in action.

It really comes in handy to make numerous search layouts for example you might have a number of content types.
1. Events
2. Store
3. Blog

One topic from that night was using Views and CCK OR making your own modules

There are some good reasons on both sides as which way to go.
Do you build your own module to make the pages you need or just make a View and CCK fields?

The next day at work I noticed a couple of sites where I had to decided which way to go.

Here are some examples.

Western Mass Drupal Meetup and Open Media Project Information Session Videos now online

The videos from last week's Western Mass Drupal Meetup and Open Media Project Information Session at Amherst Community Television are now online.

Because we've yet to transition to our Drupal site, both files are streaming Windows Media Video - as soon as we transition I hope never to type those 3 words again. For the moment please follow these links and then click "Watch now" to launch the video in your external application of choice:

Hiding the login block

I'm wondering what tricks people know for hiding the login block but keeping it accessible for administrators (so they don't have to type ?q=user/login). Anyone like to share? Thanks in advance.

MetroWest Drupal Meetup VII

Start:

Organizers:

If you pay attention to stuff, (and you probably do because you're reading this) you may be thinking "Hey wait, Agaric didn't host a drupal meetup in june!" and you'd be right about that, but now you know why we threw in the extra one back in february (http://groups.drupal.org/node/19220), although you probably knew that was the reason way back then, and were just waiting to see which month it was that we chose to skip...

Well, now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Can't Log In to Admin Page

I'm stuck. I was messing around within the admin area of my new Drupal installation. I host on GoDaddy. At some point, I unchecked the login box for the admin page and now I cannot login. Duh, I should've figured it was there for a reason, but now I can't get in.

Fortunately, I haven't done anything with it, aside from messing it up. Is there some way to get that log in box back on the admin page or should I just reinstall and start again?

I feel so silly.

TIA,
Marie
