Major problems / Stuck - Any possible ideas???

Hello everybody,

I've been trying to get some help on multiple issues i'm facing with the audio and station modules .

These are the facts:

• I've got an akamaized storage folder where all of the audio (mp3) files are currently located. The files should stay there (OUTSIDE of drupal's 'files' directory).
• The files don't have any id3 tags in them. Their filename is coded like: " , .mp3" (e.g. "20090308 John Doe, Jane Doe.mp3")
• The files are also using Greek (iso8859-7) characters.

The problems are quite obvious:

• Can i somehow redirect the links from the 'files/audio' folder to the full URL "http://mysite.akamai.com/....."?
• Can i have some kind of search filtering by date?? (year / month?) .
  I think that id3 supports only a 'year' tag, but it's not that helpful.
  Could/Should i use CCK in order to add a date field?

I would REALLY appreciate any ideas. I'm in a very difficult position as i don't know how to bypass this problem...
