City selection for DrupalCon 2010 still wide open

Please note that the list of cities from http://groups.drupal.org/node/26241 (as per the BoF in Paris) is just a list of possible suggestions. Please see the draft document that has been proposed for city selection guidelines: http://groups.drupal.org/node/27246

The goal is to publish that document at the end of this week (after incorporating feedback from the community) and to start receiving city proposals immediately after that. Since we need to have recommendations to give to the Drupal Association by October 15 the proposal phase will have to be short. The proposal phase will probably end October 1. After that we will have the proposals reviewed by the events agency to gather their feedback in time for the October 15 deadline.

If you want DrupalCon in your city/country in 2010 please review the document and add your feedback!

Drupal developers in the Greek islands?

I was just wondering if there are any Drupal people in the outlying islands of Greece, as I spend a bit of my holidays there and would be happy to meet anyone who is around?

I am due in Skiathos in mid July for a week (17th+), and have previously been to Corfu, Kos, Santorini and Crete.

Just curious! :)

Theming Getting Started - Part 2 -

In Part 2 you will be forwarded to a couple of sites that basically have in detail tutorials on how to start a drupal theme from scratch.
You will find an excelllent tutorial in GoMedia.
Furthermore there is a site claiming that it will automatically convert your psd template to a ready drupal theme after following some steps. Didnt work for me 100% but it might work for you. Give it a try @ psd2cssonline

thats all folks

Theming Getting Started - Part 1 -

This post acts as a reference to drupal theming.

Basically there is one choice as far as theming is concerned, you should choose whether you will start from scratch or you will install a 'ready' theme and customize it a bit to your preferences. This part will cover the second choice while the first choice will be covered in part 2. I must state again that this tutorial will act as a reference and only.

I am personally fond of choosing a theme where basically only the layout structure exists in its css.I am aware of two such themes.
