Anonymous User method
Hi,
How does the Anonymous user process work?
Does it create an account silently and someone coming back later using the same email is recognised, or is it completely anonymous?
I just wanted to clarify this point before installing ecommerce and playing with it
Thanks
Paul
new Irish Postcodes system moving out of beta soon
Just got an email from the Irish postcodes guys....their postcode system is moving out of beta now, following a few years of testing.
Their PON Codes (a geo-postcoding system for Ireland) covers Northern Ireland as well, which is useful because the NI postcode system is token at best. The Irish PON code system is very accurate.
Just thought I'd mention it. Here's their website: http://www.irishpostcodes.ie for more info.

Hi,
Using Drupal 5.12
Ecommerce

USPS & UPS
I hope this is the right place to post this... I just got an email from someone overseas that was unable to order a shirt due to this error:
Missing/Illegal ShipTo/Address/CountryCode (Hard error 110208)
I used to get lots of orders form across the pond but, since I switched to Drupal and the ecommerce module I not received a single one.
The site in question is:

Any advise would be much appreciated!

Classifieds ads feature in the e-Commerce Module
Hi,
I wanted to know if the following is possible in the e-Commerce Module.
- Ability to provide users to post ads of items they wish to sell. This would be more like the classifieds feature in which they create an account but may only place one ad with their contact details. I want vendors to be able to upload items in their store and have people be able to either purchase it online or order by phone. But I would also like to allow normal individuals to upload items they wish to sell and have buyers find them.
Using ec_charges to add shipping costs
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this discrussion -
I am struggling with the charges module. I gather from this post http://groups.drupal.org/node/21247 that I am looking at the right part of the ecommerce admin pages, but I can't make any sense of it.
Could someone point me to some documentation (or which files in the module I could study to figure out how to use it)?
I am trying to use a CCK field to add a postage cost. I would like this cost to be added on to the price of the product if the field is not empty.
Software store
Hi,
I'm looking to use Drupal to sell software with a digital download.
Is the Drupal e-commerce module capable of this? Can someone please point me in the direction of some documentation?
Thanks!
Ryan
Is this can be done in e-Commerce module
Login to post commentsE-commerce status update needed
I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere (I couldn't find it if it was), but this project is in dire need of a major status update because there is conflicting information throughout drupal.org, drupalecommerce.org and here about what is in and what is out and what functionality we can expect.
API Documentation is back online
I have fixed up the API for Drupal e-Commerce.
It is now at http://api.drupalecommerce.org and it is now updated every hour, so it should be pretty much up to date.
Since e-Commerce is spread over a few projects now, and depends on a few other projects like Views I am also including those into the API as well.
If you have any modules you would like to add, please let me know and I will look into adding them.

Drupal Developer/Themer for small used car site | Seale Design
I am an experienced designer with a client who wants a used car site where he can add new cars and delete others on a daily basis.
Here is an example of a site similar to what I need.
http://www.cars2suit.co.uk/
Please give me an idea of how much this would cost if all text, comps and optimized photos and site map were provided. A range is OK. Open to other ideas also.
The dealer has about 35 vehicles at a time on the lot and has cars, trucks, trailers, motorcycles.
Thanks, Suzanne
--This isn't a rush job but I would like it to move along to make the release date of August 15.
Help wanted: Devel generate for Drupal 5 and 6
Hi,
I was wondering if there is anyone out there who you like to write a generate module which will generate transactions for e-Commerce 3.x under Drupal 5. basically this would be similar to the generate modules in the devel module but it will create random transactions and products.
This means that I can test the upgrade of the e-Commerce from 3.x to 6.x and be able to bed it all down.
Thanks
Gordon.
e-Commerce 6.x-4.0-rc9 has been released
Hi,
I have just released rc9. I have been a doing a lot of work on it over the past couple of days changing the checkout to use ctools object cache so that I could get PalPal Express working in Drupal 6.x. Because of changes to the formapi in Drupal 6, and because you need to leave the checkout to go to PayPal and then come back it was just not working.
Saving Credit Card Numbers
Hi,
I am looking a little down the track and I was just wanting to gauge the interest in allowing customers to save credit card numbers for later use.
eWay (and I am guessing others) supports a method which allows users to save their credit cards for later use. Would people be interested in having a feature like this for their customers.
Also (forgetting patent isues) this would be the first step for allowing users to have single click purchasing.
Let me know if this is something you would like.

Per user discount (& module documentation)
Hello,
Is there a ec4 module that allows to assign a discount (% on the listed product price) per user?
Also, here (http://groups.drupal.org/node/17377) is a nice list of all the modules but I can't seem to find a (brief) description of them. Can we document those somewhere?

Help wanted: Shipping Integration
Hi,
I am getting to the pointy end of the 4.0 release for Drupal 6, and 1 area which has not had too much attension.
I am looking for someone who would like to develop shipping integration calculation for any shipping company. Main to test my thoughts on how this will be done. Really all you will be doing is implementing the communitication between e-Commerce and the shipping company and I will provide all the interfaces and other information and then you can send this off to the shipping company.
If anyone wants to help please let me know.
Gordon
e-Commerce 6.x-4.0-rc6 has been released
I have just released rc6 http://drupal.org/node/446142 and it is getting better and better. ATM I am releasing a new RC every 7-10 days, mainly because I am actively deploying new sites to my own clients and it is much easier to do than loading on devs, and the following conversations that I will end up having.
