DrupalCamp & DrupalCon Germany
Wir wollen DrupalCon nach Deutschland holen! Dafür sollen wir uns zum Austausch, Planung und Übung zusammenschließen.
Ziel - "Community" in Deutschland auf Vordermann bringen - die Regionale Drupal-User-Gruppen in Verbindung und Kooperation bringen - regelmäßige "Drupal Deutschland" Events abzuhalten - Freundschaften, "Professional Connections", und überregionale Arbeitsbeziehungen stiften.

Drupal Camps 2010 und wie wir es am besten Gemeinsam machen
Hallo deutsche Drupaler!
Es freut mich ja zu sehen, das immer mehr Drupal-User aktiv werden und nun scheinen wir uns für nächstes Jahr schon gegenseitig mit Veranstaltungen Konkurenz zu machen. Aus diesem Grunde hier ein paar Gedanken von mir und die Idee, dass alle die nächstes Jahr ein Drupal-Event veranstalten möchten, sich hier absprechen könnten!
City selection for DrupalCon 2010 still wide open
Please note that the list of cities from http://groups.drupal.org/node/26241 (as per the BoF in Paris) is just a list of possible suggestions. Please see the draft document that has been proposed for city selection guidelines: http://groups.drupal.org/node/27246
The goal is to publish that document at the end of this week (after incorporating feedback from the community) and to start receiving city proposals immediately after that. Since we need to have recommendations to give to the Drupal Association by October 15 the proposal phase will have to be short. The proposal phase will probably end October 1. After that we will have the proposals reviewed by the events agency to gather their feedback in time for the October 15 deadline.

DrupalCamp Essen - 27.2.2010
Es ist soweit, mitten im schönen Ruhrgebiet planen wir das DrupalCamp Essen 2010
Datum: 27.2.2010
Location: Unperfekthaus Essen (allein das ist schon eine Reise wert)
Teilnehmer: Maximal 100
Eintritt: 22 € / 18 € ermäßigt
Enthalten im Eintritt sind alkoholfreie Getränke wie Tee, Kaffee, Cola, Wasser etc. sowie Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen
Keep in touch - wir halten Euch auf dem Laufenden, also den Termin schon mal in Euren brandneuen Kalender 2010 eintragen, falls Ihr als echte ITler wie ich noch einen Papierkalender benutzt. ;-)

Ziel - kurzfristig 1: DrupalCamp in Köln in Januar 2009 - gedacht als Übungs- und Forschungs-Projekt für unser DrupalCon Proposal. Ziel: za. 100-200 Teilnehmer + kleinere Sponsoren ...
==> Ziel erreicht. Das DrupalCamp war genial und ich denke jeder Beteiligte gluecklich und Thomas Narres froh dass es dann vorbei war... ;o) -
Ziel - kurzfristig 2: Erfahrungen aus dem Camp in ein DrupalCon Proposal umwandeln und in Februar 2009 an die Drupal Association weiterreichen.
Drupal Initiative: Kick-Off auf der Froscon 2009
Die Gelegenheit war günstig. Auf der Froscon 2009 in Sankt Augustin kamen Drupaler aus ganz Deutschland zusammen. Auch Dries war anwesend und hielt am Sonntag eine – mal wieder unterhaltsame – Keynote.

A volunteer, offering to upgrade from 4.7 to 5.5 got in to a real mess and was unable to complete the task in anything like a reasonable time, leaving us off line and with a disabled site for months.

Drupal auf dem Linuxtag 2009 in Berlin
Wie vielleicht schon einige gelesen haben, wird Drupal auch dieses Jahr wieder auf der größten Messe zum Thema Freie Software, auf dem Linuxtag 2009 in
Berlin, neben zahlreichen anderen interessanten Projekten mit einem eigenen Stand vertreten sein.
Der Drupal Stand wird vermutlich in Halle 7.b/101c zu finden sein. Die Organisatoren des Linuxtages waren sich da noch nicht abschließend einig ;-)
Übersetzungen collaborativ erstellen
Hallo
jeden Donnerstag abend treffen sich Leute online, um gemeinsam an Übersetzungen von Modulen in Deutsche zu arbeiten.
Dazu wird der Editor gobby, die voice-chat-Software mumble und IRC #drupal.de auf Server: irc.freenode.net .

Linuxtag 2009 wieder mit Drupalstand
Unser "Call for projects" wurde bereits akzeptiert - Drupal ist auf dem Linuxtag 2009,
der zwischen dem 24. bis 27. Juni in Berlin stattfindet wieder mit von der Partie.

Drupal Media Camp, Schweiz 8.-9. Mai 2009
Im Mai findet das erste Drupal Media Camp in der Schweiz statt.
An zwei Tagen erfährst Du anhand praktischer Beispiele, wie mit Drupal Kommunikations-, Kollaborations- und Community-Webprojekte realisiert wurden. Erfahrene Entwickler zeigen Anwendungen, die sie im Medienumfeld aufgebaut haben.
Das Drupal Media Camp bietet Entscheidungsträgern der Medienindustrie Anwendungsbeispiele für den erfolgreichen Einsatz von Open Source CMS Drupal und die Möglichkeit zum Networking in der Community.
Drupal auf der Cebit
Dank der Organisisation der DUG Hannover
ist Drupal ist auf der CeBIT 2009 in Hannover vertreten. Vom 03.-08.03. gibt es einen Drupal Stand in der "Open Source Lounge" der Linux New Media AG, Halle 6, Stand F50. Die CeBIT präsentiert Open Source dieses Jahr als einen Schwerpunkt. Neben den Ausstellungen gibt es ein durchgehendes Vortragsprogramm.
Drupal befindet sich auf dem Gemeinschaftsstand in guter Gesellschaft von namenhaften Open Source Projekten wie Mozilla, KDE oder Debian.
1. Drupal Media Camp, Schweiz: 8.-9. Mai 2009
Medienintegration ist eines der wichtigsten Themen der weiteren Webentwicklung. Egal ob Portale, Communities, oder Unternehmensseiten: Audio, Bilder und Videos spielen eine immer grössere Rolle. Gefragt sind Social Publishing und Social Media Lösungen.
Einmal mehr zeigt Drupal seine Stärken und eignet sich besser als jedes andere CMS für eine umfassende Medienintegration.
Aus diesem Grund veranstaltet die Drupal Group Schweiz das 1. Drupal Media Camp. Die zweitägige Veranstaltung richtet sich sowohl an die Drupalcommunity, als auch an interessierte Businessanwender.

Germany DrupalCon Team is supporting Maastricht and Paris in 2009
We have commited the final decision at http://drupalcamp.de/ and decided, not to write a proposal for a DrupalCon 2009, but to support Maastricht with activities.
We will achieve this in the form of manpower at the spot but also with our previous requests for http://drupalcamp.de/sponsoren and sponsors with whom we have so far only in discussion.
The decision to support Maastricht is from the proximity and the already advanced state of planning of
http://groups.drupal.org/drupalcon-maastricht-2009 arisen, where we wanted no further internal community competition.
